Two baby manatees which had been
rescued by SeaWorld and being cared for. |
These are all at an additional fee over
that of the general admission ticket, but well worth it.
Behind the Scenes Tours
Polar Expedition
Travel from pole to pole in one hour! Tour
behind-the-scenes polar bear and beluga whale support areas at Wild
Arctic and travel to SeaWorld's Avian Research facility to
meet and touch a penguin.
Predators
Who rules the oceans? Explore shark myths and
mysteries at Terrors of the Deep and touch a small shark!
Then enjoy an exclusive backstage visit at Shamu Stadium as you
decide if sharks or killer whales are the top predators of the ocean.
To the Rescue!
This must-see tour gives you an inside look at
SeaWorld's animal rescue and rehabilitation program for highly
endangered and recently rescued manatees and sea turtles. In
addition to critical care areas, you'll also view quarantine, lab and
surgery facilities. (I did sign up for this tour when there in
November of 2001.)
Let's Talk Training (available on
select Mondays and Wednesdays)
Ever dream of being an animal trainer? Observe
private training sessions at the Sea Lion and Otter Stadium and talk
one-on-one with a SeaWorld Animal Trainer about training techniques and
personal insights on this fascinating career.
