For years I
have wanted to get photos of Mystic Seaport around Christmas time with
snow on the ground. THIS WAS THE YEAR! There are a couple of
campgrounds open year round in this area - Highland Park for one.
Also Foxwoods accommodates self-contained
units.
If you want a leisurely, uncrowded time of the year to
visit Mystic Seaport, wintertime is it! If you're a member, as I am, stop by the
membership building and get a hot cup of coffee, tea or cocoa periodically. There
are a number of good restaurants nearby before heading back home.
